Slash Shield™ Mascot Turns Five-Years-Old!

German Shepherd dog sitting on grass with a happy expression.

Bronson, AKA "El Chompo," didn’t just join the Slash Shield™ story; he accidentally launched it. Five years ago, while still a mischievous pup with paws far too big for his own good, he decided that the most exciting excavation site in the world was the water main leading straight to the house.

One triumphant dig, one geyser, and one panicked scramble later, the idea for the patented safety device, Slash Shield™, was born. As the backyard transformed into a muddy disaster zone, Bronson stood proudly in the middle of it, tail wagging, chest puffed out, completely convinced he had performed a heroic service.

In a way, he had. That chaotic moment sparked the invention that would go on to serve as a crucial flood prevention device, protecting pipe, wire, hose, and gas lines everywhere, making Bronson not just the family dog, but the unwitting founding mascot of Slash Shield™.
